CSD Platform
Silentel CSD based platform, SecureCall is dedicated for:
- Secure voice communication
- Nokia mobile phones with Symbian operating system
It brings the advantages of stable CSD data connection between two mobile phones guaranteed by GSM mobile operator. The voice quality is excellent even in case of less stable GSM radio conditions.
How does it work
Initial connection between two Nokia mobile phones with Silentel SecureCall application is established using built-in GSM modems. When the two mobile phones and their modems successfully synchronize, a secret 256 bits AES key is generated using a Diffie-Hellman key exchange with the key lenght of 2048 bits. AES 256 key is used only once, this key is destroyed after each single call. For the sake of security it is always necessary to verify the certificate fingerprint that gets displayed on the mobile phone's screen during communication with a partner. This check protects the conversation against a man-in-the-middle attack.

- AES 256 algorithm used for voice encryption - gives a voice protection required for TOP SECRET information transmission
- Suitable security level for government, intelligence or military services
- The one time keys are generated using a 2048 bit Diffie-Hellman key exchange
- Authentication by X.509 certificates based on 2048 bit RSA keys
- Secure AES key is irrecoverably destroyed after the call
