PDMark – Paper Data Mark is a worldwide licensed technology developed by ARDACO R&D teams, providing encoding and encryption of data on paper. The storing and retrieving process can be done with regular office printing and scanning devices. The technology has been developed to interconnect the electronic and paper worlds, with a special focus on document security and collaboration. PDMark enables users to store information on paper in both the printed and digital forms. Using the technology, a paper document can convey digital and encrypted information including electronic signatures.

• Paper document protection against fraud:
  Traditional document protection approaches aim to protect the paper itself. As the PDMark technology stores digital data on paper, encryption methods can be employed and document can be electronically signed to protect the document content.
  
  
• Conversion of paper documents:
  Encoding and retrieving data from a paper document allow seamless and error-free conversion of the paper content into the electronic form. The PDMark technology therefore has the potential to integrate paper with electronic document workflows in ECM systems.

PDMark stores information on paper in a layer of printed code symbols. Symbols appear in the form of tiny lines of different thickness and slant and form a fine gray background with the structure not visible to the naked eye. PDMark solutions are fully integrated into standard office automation software and can be seamlessly integrated with document sharing and document management systems.
