Data is written into the background of a document, either to the whole area or its portion as needed.
Background of a document formed by PDMark symbols can be overlaid with text or graphics.
Capacity of a sheet of size A4/Letter is approximately 40kB, which, for example, represents 10 pages of text in .doc format.
Reading back data stored on paper is 100 % error free.
UNICODE language support: Besides the standard Latin alphabet any character set included in UNICODE can be used, for example: Armenian, Arabic,
Chinese, Hebrew, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Thai etc.
Possibility to create images in PDMark background in eight degrees of grey. PDMark can form graphics in the form of a watermark on the background
of a document, i.e. finely in the background without disturbing the essential contents of the printed text.
Ability to read data from a copy. The copy needs to be of sufficiently good quality.
Integrated mechanism of protection of stored data against damaging the document. This protection is based on a self error correction mechanism
utilizing redundancy of stored information (complete stored contents are stored in a fraction of the original document). PDMark can also reconstruct
the original stored contents from a substantially damaged document. The ability to reconstruct the original text depends on the extent of the damage
of the original as well as the amount of data stored in the background of one page. The bigger the amount of stored data, the bigger the undamaged
portion of the original paper that is needed to reconstruct the data. PDMark technology can successfully cope with damage in the form
of a document covered with writing, scribbled on document, stained document, physically incomplete document with a portion torn off, soaked
and subsequently dried up document.
