| Each reader contains an internal smart-card, which contains a device certificate identifying the reader and allows maintaining control over signatures made. The firmware in the reader can be updated via the USB interface. In order to provide higher level of security to the user, the card reader device - „Smart-Box Pro“ is equipped with an internal keypad for entering a PIN. The information verifying authenticity is not communicated from the untrustworthy environment of the PC to the device, but it is directly entered via the reader. |
