Multi-touch screen benefits utilization
The invention of multi-touch screen technologies brings new possibilities for the human-machine interface. The usage of multiple fingers and gestures allows performing quick, intuitive operations without the need to use a mouse or keyboard. Ardaco's research is mainly focused on inventing as much user friendly and intuitive user controls and visualization as possible for communication centre or mobile/forward command post operators.
Localization and context aware services
and energy consumption
Location and context aware services grow in popularity and create a great opportunity for system vendors and integrators to provide feature-full applications that are intelligent enough not to overwhelm the user with all the information and features at once but are able to select what is important for the user at the moment. Ardaco's research focus is on the protocols, techniques and approaches that provide adequate accuracy and privacy of the location information while still keeping the additional energy consumption of battery powered devices to minimum.
Silentel-Radio gateway
The Silentel communication system offers a lot of features in addition to voice communication though there are still applications where the radio transceivers are preferred or simply a lot of investment has been already done into an infrastructure which should be utilized. The gateway allows integration of almost any transceiver with Silentel system.
The gateway and the Intern et allows people using the Silentel client application on a mobile phone, PDA or a computer (e.g. in office), to be able to communicate to people who are using radios in the field even if the user is on the other side of the globe. The commanders or managers could use business class mobile phones while still being able to talk to users using radios. Several gateways could be combined; this way the Silentel system allows users to integrate different radio platforms or distant location together.
Mobile satellite Access Point
It is not only the Silentel communication system that needs connectivity between its client and server for operation. Other applications might need the connectivity as well. The connectivity could be achieved by any means that allow IP traffic such as GPRS, 3G, Wi-Fi or LAN (depends on the capabilities of the device running the applications). If the server is not located on the same site as the users and no terrestrial connection (GSM, Wi-Fi or LTE) is available the Silentel's Mobile Satellite Access Point provides the internet connectivity for all the Silentel users within its built-in Wi-Fi range. It is battery powered and works anywhere on the planet (depends on the satellite network operator's coverage, current version works within Europe). When combined with appropriate battery powered repeaters it provides reasonable low cost network coverage.
PDMark
PDMark® - Paper Data Mark is a globally licensed technology developed by research and development teams of ARDACO company, which provides for storage and data encryption on paper. The process of storing and reading of information can be performed using common office equipment for printing and scanning the documents. This technology was developed to connect the worlds of electronic and paper documents with special emphasis on document security and cooperation. PDMark allows users to store information on paper in both paper and digital form. Using this technology, a paper document may contain digitally encrypted information including electronic.
PDMark technology brings many benefits to users in two main business areas:
- Protection of paper documents against misuse
The traditional approach to protection of document tries to protect the paper itself. Since PDMark technology stores digital data on paper, a content of the document can be protected using encryption methods and the document can be electronically signed. - Conversion of paper documents
Encoding and reading data from a paper document enables a smooth and flawless conversion of a content of paper into electronic form. Therefore, PDMark technology has potential to integrate paper into workflows of electronic documents in ECM systems.
