SECRICOM

The SECRICOM project (Seamless Communication for Crisis Management) is implemented in the framework of EU program FP7. The consortium of thirteen partners from Great Britain, Slovakia, Poland, Spain, Germany, Luxemburg, Austria and France cooperates on the concept of a communication system, research and product tasks.

The goals of the 44 months project are:

1. To address issues of contemporary communication in crisis management:

  • To provide for continual and secure communication among the already existing systems
  • To set up an interface for connecting a new generation SDR system
  • To create an infrastructure that will promote pervasiveness, security and seamlessness
  • To improve interfaces for cooperation among rescue teams


2. To add new functionality by the means of distributed systems:

  • Collection of information according to the needs of rescuers
  • Bridging various communication channels

The project’s goal is to offer a comprehensive system appropriate for deployment in rescue and security corps of the European Union member states. ARDACO is the technical coordinator of the project. The company also took part in the preparation and defense of the project. ARDACO is responsible for a substantial portion of the system’s communication functions and integration. The project is co-financed from the funds of the European Union in the amount of € 8.606.791.
